Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest advancement is an obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
The design is also superior to the other models. It has a sleek, high-end piece that resembles toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't achieve this feat. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and can't clean stairs The j7+ is still a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know whether the update is working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best option. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. disappoint. auto vacuum cleaner is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice when you're willing to compromise to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place which many robot vacuums often fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones or alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you select the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed it can be done without difficulty. It also comes with an impressive LCD display which is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, but it can help easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are some of the best on the market - but it's also pricey.
The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovac that I've tried that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially in the area of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
While it doesn't offer as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.
If you're looking to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other options available, including a lot of eufy models priced significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, simply snap on one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect your charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an outlet for power and enough space for it to move around however.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it can be tucked away under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The primary characteristic that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require more emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
